What we collect
Rightly collects minimal data: your email address (for authentication via Firebase), your subscription status, and anonymous usage statistics (number of files processed, module used). We do not collect the content of your files — all file processing happens locally on your Mac.
File processing
All file conversion and compression tools in Rightly run entirely on your Mac. Your files are never uploaded to our servers unless you explicitly use the "Upload & Share" feature. Even then, files are stored encrypted and deleted automatically when the link expires.
Upload & Share
Files shared via Rightly are stored securely on Cloudflare R2 (encrypted at rest). Links expire automatically (3 days for Free, 30 days for Pro). You can revoke any link at any time from the Rightly app. After expiry, files are permanently deleted.
Authentication
We use Firebase Authentication to manage your account. Your password is never stored by Rightly — Firebase handles authentication securely.
Payments
Payments are processed by Stripe. Rightly never stores your payment card information. Stripe's privacy policy applies to payment data.
